Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a Chinese treatment which is becoming more popular within western medicine and rehabilitation.

 

Sharp, thin needles are used at specific points to adjust and alter the body's energy flow (chi) along the merdian systems.  I use acupuncture for pain relief and to encourage healing.

Ante natal 

Growing a baby is a wonderful and exciting time. Unfortunately not all women have a smooth pregnancy journey.  Some can experience pelvic girdle pain, sacro-illiac pain, symphysis pubis and lower back pain.

 

Physiotherapy can treat these conditions and help relieve pain, making pregnancy more comfortable and enjoyable. Ante natal pilates is a great and safe way to stay fit, strengthen your pelvic floor and prepare your body for birth.

 

Post natal

You’ve done it, congratulations! After childbirth some women experience diastasis recti, loss of pelvic floor recruitment and lower back pain, which physiotherapy and pilates can help. 

 

I can assess and teach you how to effectively recruit your pelvic floor and core in a safe way, helping you get back to your pre baby body. As a mother of two I understand the challenge  of getting somewhere with a new arrival which is why I provide a mobile service allowing you and baby to be relaxed in your own home.
